The Dynamic Learning Maps® (DLM®) program provides Individual Student Score Reports for students who completed the DLM alternate assessment during the 2025–2026 school year. Score reports communicate achievement within grade-level content standards to educators, parents, and others.
Test updates
Kite® Student Portal is the secure platform where students take Dynamic Learning Maps® (DLM®) assessments. While in Student Portal, students cannot access unauthorized webpages or applications. The most recent version of Student Portal must be downloaded to the device used for testing.
The Dynamic Learning Maps® (DLM®) spring assessment window opens on March 9, 2026, for Year-End model states. Please consult individual state pages on the DLM website for state-specific testing dates as testing windows vary by state.

The Dynamic Learning Maps® (DLM®) Instructionally Embedded model fall window closes on December 19, 2025. The DLM Instructionally Embedded model spring window opens on February 2, 2026. Each state may have their own state-specific opening and closing dates. Check your state’s DLM webpage.
Kite Student Portal
Kite® Student Portal is the secure platform where students take Dynamic Learning Maps® (DLM®) assessments. While in Student Portal, students cannot access unauthorized webpages or applications.
Before launching Kite® Student Portal, please ensure that the iPad has an established internet connection. Restarting the iPad and inputting the quit password may be required if the application opens without a connection to the internet.
The Dynamic Learning Maps® (DLM®) Instructionally Embedded fall window will open on September 8 for the 2025–2026 academic year. The Instruction and Assessment Planner is used to create instructional plans and assign testlets for students.
