New Jersey Spring 2024 Year End (YE) Assessment Window Broadcast
The Dynamic Learning Maps (DLM) Year End (YE) administration window will run from April 8, 2024-May 31, 2024. The DLM YE assessment is mandatory. Please review the Preparation for the 2023-2024 Dynamic Learning Maps (DLM) Year-End (YE) Alternate Assessment for Students with the Most Significant Intellectual Disabilities Broadcast that was released on October 26, 2023. Please note that all NJ-specific training documents are currently being updated for the 2023-2024 spring YE administration and will be released in early winter and will include timelines. District staff with DTC access in Educator Portal will receive notification via email when these become available on the NJ DLM webpage.

New Jersey Mandatory District and School Fields
As of January 3, 2024, the accountability district and school fields are mandatory in New Jersey. The NJDOE will process the data received via NJSMART and upload student enrollment data into the DLM Educator Portal on behalf of districts by January 15, 2024. Districts have the opportunity to review and modify the uploaded data directly in Educator Portal during the data verification and revision window from January 16, 2024 through February 12, 2024. If additional data verification and revision is needed, districts have the opportunity to continue to review and correct data throughout the DLM administration window: April 8, 2024 to May 31, 2024. For more information please review the Dynamic Learning Maps (DLM) Year-End Alternate Assessment for Students with the Most Significant Intellectual Disabilities: DLM Student Enrollment and Data Verification Update Broadcast, which was released on January 10, 2024.

New Jersey 1% Participation Justification Forms for Exceeding the 1% Participation Cap
The USED allows for individual LEAs with more than 1% of tested students taking the DLM to do so with justification. If it is anticipated that participation in the DLM Spring Year End (YE) assessment in the specific LEA will exceed 1% for the 2023-2024 school year, a justification form needs to be submitted for review, and the LEA must participate in the Tier 1 Universal Technical Assistance support activities. For more information and action steps please review the October 26, 2023 Broadcast Memo.
