Dynamic Learning Maps® (DLM®) staff are excited to announce the first DLM Compass 2026 event, taking place July 14–17, 2026, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. At DLM Compass 2026, educators will connect with colleagues, explore science inquiry routines, examine how these routines can be integrated with English language arts (ELA) and mathematics, and leave with applicable instructional plans and ready-to-use resources. DLM states may send up to five educators to participate in this conference.
Upon completing DLM Compass 2026, educators will
- understand the steps in the science inquiry routine and how to make connections to ELA and mathematics
- be able to describe the structure and key components of multidimensional science standards
- understand what DLM resources are available and how to use them to plan inquiry science lessons
- develop integrated science instructional plans using the science inquiry routine and DLM resources
